End your day at the Muslim Quarter, where you can experience the local Muslim culture and sample some of the delicious street foods. Make sure to try the traditional lamb dumplings and Roujiamo, a type of Chinese-style hamburger.
Day 2: Terracotta Warriors and Huaqing Palace
No trip to Xi'an is complete without seeing the famous Terracotta Warriors, which were discovered in the 1970s and are considered to be among the significant archaeological finds of the 20th century. It's a must for both history enthusiasts and anyone interested in ancient China.
After exploring the Terracotta Warriors, head to the nearby Huaqing Palace. Once the hot spring retreat for Emperor Xuanzong during the Tang Dynasty, the palace sits amid picturesque gardens and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.
Day 3: Indulge In Xi'an's Food Scene
Xi'an boasts of a rich culinary heritage, and you cannot leave without trying some of its signature dishes. Start your day at De Fa Chang, one of the oldest restaurants in Xi'an, and indulge in their signature dish, the braised pork belly.
At night, head to the bustling night market near the Bell Tower, where you can find all sorts of street food, from lamb skewers to sweet sticky rice cakes. Make sure to arrive with an empty stomach!

Mount Huashan is a breathtaking mountain located approximately 120 kilometers from Xi'an known for its steep cliffs and dramatic views. Take a cable car to the North Peak and hike along the famous plank walk, which is not for the faint-hearted, but the views make it worth it for adventurers.
Day 5: Visit the Shaanxi History Museum
Considered one of China's best museums, the Shaanxi History Museum houses an extensive collection of relics and artifacts from ancient China, including jade carvings, pottery, and bronzes. It's an excellent way to learn more about the history of Xi'an and China.
Afterward, head to the serene and beautiful Small Wild Goose Pagoda, which is a peaceful spot to relax and reflect on the beauty of Xi'an.

Xi'an has a thriving art scene with many galleries and museums to explore. You can start your day at the Xi'an Art Museum, which showcases contemporary Chinese art and is housed in a stunning building designed by renowned Chinese architect Liu Jiakun.
Afterward, proceed to the Tang Paradise theme park, which features a Tang dynasty-style theater and a sculpture garden, among other cultural and artistic attractions.
Day 7: Make a Day Trip to the Famen Temple
The Famen Temple is a famous Buddhist temple located roughly 120 km outside Xi'an. Here you'll find the finger bone relic of Buddha, and it's a popular pilgrimage site for Buddhists. You can also see many beautiful Buddhist artifacts, including carvings, paintings, and statues.
As you make your way back to Xi'an, stop by the nearby Qianling Mausoleum, the burial site of Emperor Gaozong and Empress Wu Zetian of the Tang Dynasty. Here you can view many ancient treasures while catching a glimpse into the grandeur of the Tang Dynasty.
